Gailan with Chinese Sausage Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Gailan
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or olive oil, corn oil, etc.)
  • 2-4 slices ginger
  • 2 links Chinese dried sausage (adjust to taste)
  • Kosher salt (or sea salt)
  • ⅛ cup rice cooking wine

Steps to follow

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Rinse the gailan thoroughly.
    • Slice the Chinese sausage on a bias using 2 links (use more or less as desired).
  2. Heat the Oil:
    • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat.
  3. Cook the Ginger and Sausage:
    • Add the ginger slices to the hot oil and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
    • Add the sliced Chinese sausage and cook until the edges are golden.
  4. Add the Gailan:
    • Add the gailan to the skillet or wok and stir well.
  5. Add Cooking Wine and Season:
    • Pour in the rice cooking wine and stir.
    • Cover the skillet or wok and cook for about 1 minute, or longer if the gailan stems are thicker.
  6. Finish and Serve:
    • Add salt to taste, remove from heat, and serve hot. Enjoy!
